Before your surgery, you should review your insurance benefits. It is vital that you understand your specific insurance coverage. Most insurance companies require you to have preauthorization for you to have your surgery.
Tidelands Health will take care of any necessary preauthorization, and you will be notified if there are any issues or concerns. If you have questions, you can contact your insurance company or our hospital billing department when your surgery has been scheduled. They can also answer any questions you may have about coverage and potentially any out-of-pocket costs.
